WONKY BODIES, WITH DARREN KERR - SATURDAY 30TH MAY AT 10AM
WONKY BODIES
I was transfixed by a programme a couple of years ago with Dr. Ronen Chatterjee on BBC One, who took a guy who had severe back pain to Gary Ward and watched the process of dealing with his very wonky body. Starting with gait analysis and working your way through the body dealing with all our unique ways our body copes with our poor posture and alignment, his AIM method wakes up muscles that have stopped working in the way they were designed to. For those of you in last night's session with Andy - he pointed out that it's not just that you have an issue in a certain place, what's happening above or below that really causing that problem?
Earlier this year I was introduced to Darren Kerr, a podiatrist in Bedford who studied the method (Anatomy in Motion) with Gary Ward and uses it to great effect in his clinic and now online as well. This Saturday Darren will talk us through what he does and how he does it, honestly this would work for all of us, not just runners and athletes - if you watch the film clip above I am sure you will be keen to know more.
Darren also has a Wonky Bodies programme starting on Monday that will take you through this process yourself, for more information click here. For his website www.posturefit.co.uk
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Follow the link below to the booking page. The cost is £2 and that will go to the Hope Centre in Northampton. You will get an automatic email with the link to your Webinar before it starts, so check your junk folders too. We are using Zoom, like most people around the world now. Only people registered through our booking system can access the session, so it’s very secure (if you had be worrying)
Once logged in, sit down, get comfy and prepare to listen and participate, you can ask questions via the Chat Box or if we have something a bit more juicy that we think we could give more help you can chat directly to us. This is an opportunity to get the low down on common issues that people have and what I keep hearing from our regulars who are trying to work but are struggling with aches and pains.
