Steady Pace Pilates - For Long Covid, ME, Chronic Fatigue

This is a stress-free class with a gentle pace to allow people suffering with the following symptoms to exercise more comfortably: fatigue, joint pain or reduced ability to stand for extended periods.
If you or anyone you know suffers with symptoms of ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long Covid, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome or Hypermobility syndrome… they might appreciate the opportunity to exercise safely.
Exercise is great for us all and motion truly is lotion. However, some issues do require adaptation to how we exercise. Following the NICE guidelines (National Institute for Health & Care Excellence)
We will focus on balance, coordination and control of joint movement. There will be minimal standing work as well. We will also explore helpful breathing techniques. Where possible we’ll also practice functional exercises useful for daily life and which will help you maintain some strength and endurance.
You’ll have an opportunity to relax when you feel you’ve done enough. This is all about exploring what feels “right” for your body on the day.))
