Nutrition and Functional Medicine - THURSDAY 7PM 4th FEBRUARY
We've learned a lot over the past few webinars and I wanted to expand our knowledge even more so I have asked a well respected local health professional, Gayle Merchant to talk about her practice. I have a few clients who have used Functional Medicine with great success so let's find out more and how it can help us. Gayle is a registered nutritional therapist and college lecturer for the College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is passionate is combining naturopathic principles together with Functional Medicine to support people on a journey towards better health.
Functional Medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease; how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual instead of just giving a pill to take away symptoms. This involves functional testing (blood, urine, saliva or stool) as well as looking at the whole person to include genetics, lifestyle and food.
Gayle will discuss -
• What is functional medicine?
• How can functional testing help us to understand what is going on?
• The different functional tests that are available – there are so many!
• Real life case studies where functional medicine has made all the difference
• How you can use functional medicine to support your health journey
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You book in via our online booking system, or use the link below, the cost is £2.50 and that will go to The Hope Centre.
Sit down, get comfy and prepare to listen and participate if you wish to.
WANT TO ASK A REALLY PERSONAL QUESTION? you can ask questions via the Chat Box that only hosts can see, so you can get advice immediately. Within reason obviously, without a proper consultation she cannot diagnose.
You can also email me with a question and I can ask for you. This is an opportunity to get expert advice for a couple of quid and save yourself a lot more pain down the road.
PLEASE SHARE - these webinars are open to anyone, you don't need to be a client to book in. If you know anyone who might benefit, please do pass the information on. Thanks.
