Periods, POI, Plant based nutrition - THURSDAY 10TH DECEMBER 7PM

Dr Hannah Smart is joining Claire and I on Thursday 10th December for another NP Health Webinar. She is a GP specialising in women’s health with a particular interest Premature Ovary Insufficiency (POI) Premenstrual disorders, HRT and Plant Based Nutrition to help manage symptoms. This is such a passionate subject for us and for many of you.

Fertility can be affected in so many ways, I breezed through my monthly cycle barely noticing it but my sister struggled dreadfully from a young age. I needed fertility treatment to have a child, she hit first time no issues. Claire's experiences are POI in her 30's whilst having no issues with her menstrual cycle.

No two women are the same and there are so many ways we are affected by our monthly cycles from mild to severe PMS, conditions such as endometriosis, early menopause and more, causing infertility, mental health problems and leading to other health issues if left untreated. For most, it can be managed with diet, exercise and lifestyle adjustments and other treatments, and at the far end of that, for some women, it is so severe they attempt to take their own life.

Dr Smart will explain all the ways we can help ourselves have the best quality of life, when we're challenged with life changing events, such as these. Dr. Smart is also a qualified Plant-Based Nutrition practitioner as she strongly believes that a plant-based diet is extremely helpful in supporting women in female hormonal health by supporting good gut health and hormonal balance. There is evidence to show that this type of diet can reduce menopause and premenstrual symptoms, lower heart disease risk, diabetes and some cancers.
This session will be a very relaxed Q&A session with Dr. Smart who has been through much of these issues herself having undergone a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophrectomy (removal of womb, fallopian tubes and both ovaries) at the age of 35.

This time the donations will go to the Daisy Network, a charity supporting women with POI.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
You book in via our online booking system, or use the link below, the cost is £2.50 and that will go to Daisy Network, a charity supporting women with POI. You will get the link for the webinar shortly before the sessions start.

Sit down, get comfy and prepare to listen and participate if you wish to.

WANT TO ASK A REALLY PERSONAL QUESTION?  you can ask questions via the Chat Box  that only hosts can see, so you can get advice immediately. Within reason obviously, without a proper consultation she cannot diagnose.

You can also email me with a question and I can ask for you.  This is an opportunity to get expert advice for a couple of quid and save yourself a lot more pain down the road.
